Tiling for courts and public buildings
High-quality tiling for buildings where security, discretion and a professional finish all matter.
Overview
Public buildings bring their own rules: security checks, restricted areas, escorted access and staff and members of the public who need to carry on as normal. Our team's experience includes law courts, so we understand how these sites work.
We tile washrooms, entrances, corridors, kitchens and staff areas in courts, council buildings, police and fire stations, libraries and other public buildings.
What we tile
- Public and staff washrooms
- Entrance halls and reception areas
- Corridors and stair cores
- Staff kitchens and welfare areas
- Showers and changing areas
- Repairs and regrouting
What matters
Security
We follow each site's security and sign-in procedures and are used to escorted working in restricted areas.
Checked tilers
Dan and Jay both hold enhanced DBS checks and CSCS cards.
Quiet, tidy working
We keep our area contained, clean as we go and work out of hours where noise or access would cause problems.
A finish that lasts
Public buildings are expected to last decades, so preparation, setting out and grouting are done properly.
How we work on site
- We keep dust down with vacuums and dust extractors and clean up as we go.
- We protect finished work and surrounding areas, and leave the site clean and tidy every day.
- We work evenings, nights and weekends when a programme or opening hours call for it.
- Both of us are enhanced DBS checked, hold CSCS cards and are trained in COSHH, manual handling, abrasive wheels and asbestos and silica awareness.
- Risk assessments, method statements and COSHH information are available on request.
