Bathroom and wet room tiling

Bathrooms, en-suites, walk-in showers and wet rooms, finished to a commercial standard.

Overview

We bring the same standards we use on commercial jobs to bathrooms, en-suites, walk-in showers and wet rooms: proper preparation, waterproofing behind every wet area, and tiles set out so the cuts land where they should.

What we do

  • Full bathroom and en-suite tiling, walls and floors
  • Walk-in showers and level-access wet rooms
  • Recessed niches with metal trims
  • Large-format porcelain and marble-effect tiles
  • Mosaic shower trays, benches and feature walls
  • Tanking and waterproofing behind tiled wet areas

What to know

Waterproofing first

Tiles and grout are not waterproof on their own. Every shower and wet area needs a tanking system behind the tiles before anything is fixed.

Set out before fixing

We plan where the cuts fall around windows, niches and fittings before the first tile goes on, so the finished room looks balanced.

Falls to the drain

Wet room floors need a consistent fall to the drain so water clears. Large tiles are cut to follow the falls, or a mosaic is used across the shower area.

How we work on site

In bathrooms and wet rooms we waterproof the right areas before tiling, lay shower floors to falls so water drains away, and seal joints around fittings.

  • We keep dust down with vacuums and dust extractors and clean up as we go.
  • We protect finished work and surrounding areas, and leave the site clean and tidy every day.
  • We work evenings, nights and weekends when a programme or opening hours call for it.
  • Both of us are enhanced DBS checked, hold CSCS cards and are trained in COSHH, manual handling, abrasive wheels and asbestos and silica awareness.

Common questions

Do you fit the bathroom suite as well?

We are tilers, so we work alongside your plumber or bathroom fitter. We can recommend people we trust if you need them.

How long does a bathroom take to tile?

It depends on the size and the tiles, but most bathrooms take a few days once the room is prepared and the plumbing is first-fixed.

Can you tile a wet room?

Yes. We prepare and tank the floor and walls, set the falls to the drain and tile it all in one finish.

What is tanking?

Tanking is a waterproof layer under the tiles. Tiles and grout alone aren't waterproof, so showers and wet rooms need it to protect the building.

Do you tile bathrooms in hotels and apartment blocks?

Yes. We tile repeat bathrooms and en-suites for hotels, developers and housing providers, as well as larger private homes.
