Factory and industrial tiling

Heavy-duty, hygienic and chemical-resistant floors and walls for production sites.

Overview

Industrial floors face heavy loads, hot water, chemicals and constant cleaning. The wrong tile or grout fails quickly, so the specification matters as much as the workmanship.

We tile production areas, food factories, breweries, dairies, laboratories, welfare blocks and washrooms in factories and industrial units.

What we tile

  • Production and process floors
  • Food production and hygiene areas
  • Laboratories and clean areas
  • Welfare blocks, toilets and showers
  • Canteens and staff kitchens
  • Repairs to damaged or loose tiles

What matters

Chemical resistance

Epoxy grouts resist acids, fats and cleaning chemicals that break down ordinary cement grout.

Heavy loads

Factory floors need a sound base, full adhesive coverage and tough tiles such as industrial quarry or porcelain.

Drainage

Wet process areas work best with floors laid to falls towards drainage channels.

Around production

We can work shutdowns, weekends and night shifts so production keeps running.

How we work on site

  • We keep dust down with vacuums and dust extractors and clean up as we go.
  • We protect finished work and surrounding areas, and leave the site clean and tidy every day.
  • We work evenings, nights and weekends when a programme or opening hours call for it.
  • Both of us are enhanced DBS checked, hold CSCS cards and are trained in COSHH, manual handling, abrasive wheels and asbestos and silica awareness.
  • Risk assessments, method statements and COSHH information are available on request.

Common questions

Can you work during a factory shutdown?

Yes. Shutdown periods, weekends and night shifts are often the best time for this work.

Which grout is best for food production areas?

Usually an epoxy grout, because it resists chemicals and water and leaves no porous joints for bacteria.

Can you repair a section of floor rather than redo it all?

Often, yes. Damaged tiles and failed joints can be repaired in sections.
